Fi360 Alternatives and Competitors: What Fi360 Does, and What It Doesn't Replace

Most "alternatives" pages pretend every product on the list does the same job. This one will not, because fi360 and a 401(k) prospecting tool do different jobs. If you are replacing fi360, you need another fiduciary and investment-analytics platform. If you are searching because your pipeline is thin, swapping fiduciary software will not fix that. One disclosure: we build FiduciarySignal, which is a prospecting product, not fiduciary software. Every fact about other vendors below links to the vendor's own page, with the date we read it.
What is fi360 today?
Broadridge completed its acquisition of Fi360 on November 4, 2019, describing it as a provider of "fiduciary-focused software, data and analytics for financial advisors" and the home of the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) designation. Today fi360.com redirects to Broadridge's Fiduciary Governance Solutions hub, headlined "Turn fiduciary excellence into growth," which groups the products into investment and account evaluation tools, data and analytics, and fiduciary training and certification. The hub says "23K+ advisors and staff utilize our tools, training, data and analytics" and lists "12.5K designees."

Fi360 competitors, by job
The useful way to compare fi360 is one job at a time. Here is each fi360 tool in Broadridge's own words, next to the alternatives we could verify on their own sites today:

How much does fi360 cost?
Broadridge does not publish a price. Its tools page says: "Bundled pricing depends on your firm's size, user type, features, and licensing. Contact us and we'll tailor a package that fits your business goals," with a "Schedule a demo" option. Source: Broadridge Investment & Account Evaluation Tools (as published, read 2026-10-05). If you are comparing, ask for the package you would actually use, with the user count and term in writing.
RPAG
RPAG (Retirement Plan Advisory Group, LLC) calls itself "The Retirement Technology Platform" and serves retirement plan advisors, broker-dealers and RIAs, recordkeepers and TPAs, and asset managers. It is membership-based: "RPAG membership provides [...] access to tools, insights, and support designed to help retirement professionals compete more effectively." Its pricing page lays out Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Institutional packages — fee benchmarking and an RFP system from Bronze, the Scorecard System from Silver, analyzers and fiduciary reviews in Gold — without showing base membership prices, and lists add-ons such as a 5500 Search Tool at $100 a quarter. Of the alternatives here, it is the closest to fi360 across several jobs at once, and it also pitches "plan intelligence that help you prospect smarter."

Fiduciary Decisions & Insights
Fiduciary Decisions & Insights "provides technology, tools and research that are independent, comprehensive and actionable to Service Providers and Plan Sponsors." Its products are Retirement Plan Benchmarking, Managed Account Benchmarking, an Interactive Plan Design Application, Research & Analytics, and IRA Rollover Compliance Services, and its benchmarking follows what it calls a "patented value and fee methodology." It cites "data on more than 375,000 retirement plans, including all market segments." The footer names the company Fiduciary Benchmarks Insights, LLC. No price is published on the homepage. If the fi360 tool you rely on most is fee benchmarking, this is the specialist to look at.

Does fi360 help with 401(k) prospecting?
Partly, and it is worth being exact. Fee Benchmarker is described as producing "on-demand reports for prospecting" — a way to show a prospect how your fees and services compare once you are talking to them. What we did not find on the Broadridge fi360 pages we read today is a Form 5500 plan search, a territory list, or a ranking of which plans to approach. That is not a flaw; it is a different product. Fi360 helps you run and document a prudent process for plans you serve and win. It does not tell you which sponsor to call on Monday. If you already license fi360, ask Broadridge whether your package includes plan-level prospecting data before buying anything else.
Why fi360 and a prospecting tool are complements
Think of a retirement plan practice as three stages: find the plan, open the conversation, then serve the plan well enough to keep it. Fi360 is built for the third stage, with some help on the second. A prospecting tool is built for the first two. Replacing one with the other leaves a gap either way.
Plans move. Winning one depends on being in the conversation when the committee decides to look — a timing problem fiduciary software was never designed to solve.
Where FiduciarySignal fits
FiduciarySignal is not fiduciary software: it does not score funds, draft an investment policy statement, or document a prudent process, and it is not a replacement for fi360, RPAG, or Fiduciary Decisions & Insights. It does the job they leave open. The Change Predictor ranks the plans in your territory most likely to make a winnable provider change — trustee, custodian, recordkeeper or administrator — built on ten years of Form 5500 filings and back-tested against the next year's filings. It is strongest at the top of the list: a work-the-top-of-the-list tool, never certainty about any single plan. The 401(k) Report Card grades any plan from its own Form 5500 — administrative cost against genuinely comparable peers, participation, red flags, the provider roster — and produces Plan, Benchmark, and Summary reports as Word files, with per-plan talking points and a merge-ready outreach email.
FiduciarySignal publishes its price: $90 a month after a 7-day trial, or $900 a year, self-serve. Built on public DOL EFAST2 data; not affiliated with the Department of Labor. Terms are on our pricing page.
Which should you choose?
If you are replacing fi360 itself, compare like with like: RPAG if you want one member platform covering scorecards, fee benchmarking, RFPs, and fiduciary documentation; Fiduciary Decisions & Insights if fee and plan benchmarking is the job that matters most. Keep the AIF® designation on its own merits — it is a credential, not a software line item.
If you searched "fi360 alternatives" because you need more plans, the answer is not a different fiduciary toolkit. Keep the fiduciary stack that serves your clients well, and add a prospecting source that tells you where to spend your calling hours. That is the job FiduciarySignal was built for.

How much does fi360 cost?
Broadridge does not publish a price. Its tools page says bundled pricing depends on your firm's size, user type, features, and licensing, and invites you to contact sales or schedule a demo.

Is fi360 a 401(k) prospecting tool?
Not in the sense of finding plans to call. Its Fee Benchmarker produces on-demand reports for prospecting once you are in a conversation, but we found no Form 5500 plan search or territory ranking on the Broadridge fi360 pages we read. An advisor who uses it still needs a separate prospecting source.
